The NegotiationWise training program presents three interlocking core components - PLAN, ENGAGE and DECIDE for successful collaborative negotiation. Participants will engage in interactive workshops to practise the theory and utilise the tools provided during the program.

This practical workshop will highlight methods and strategies to drive business growth, increase revenue/profit, reduce cost and help the negotiating parties make the most of opportunities by achieving a meaningful agreement.

Strategic Negotiation & Influencing Capability
Local Government for CEOs and Executive Officers

Duration: 2 days

This intensive program covers How to Prepare to Negotiate and How to Negotiate, followed by How to Measure Success. Participants learn skill set to prepare and negotiate in a systematic, structured way, and engage in influential conversation.

The program focuses on realising an “optimised outcome” in commercial negotiations. This means achieving a negotiated outcome that is favourable, rather than one that is merely acceptable, by influencing the other parties and engaging in collaborative discussion.

Local Government for Mayors
(LG-Mayor)
Duration: 1 day
Recommended prerequisite: LG for Councillors (Day 1)

This interactive 1-day program provides senior leadership level capability to mayors, deputy mayors, acting mayors, and aspiring mayors.

The workshop is designed with a structured collaborative approach to support the interests of the council. At the same time, we promote effective and respectful communication between Councillors, Chief Executive Officers, and other stakeholders.

Participants will learn key decision-making influences and practise strategies to lead the business and growth of the council.

Strategic Negotiation & Influencing Capability
Local Government for Councillors - Day 1
(LG-C1)
Duration: 1 day

This training program presents three interlocking core components - PLAN, ENGAGE and DECIDE. Interactive workshops encourage participants to practise the theory and implement the tools provided during the program.

A collaborative approach allows parties to jointly address problems, and develop solutions and opportunities to achieve a Wise Outcome. Participants develop the skills to look for novel solutions to a problem, whilst allowing the negotiating parties to come to a meaningful agreement - an agreement that will be honoured by all parties and managing the relationship at the same time.

Local Government for Councillors: Managing the Internal Stakeholder
(LG-C2)
Duration: 1 day
Prerequisite: LG for Councillors (Day 1)

This interactive workshop complements the 1-day “Strategic Negotiation & Influencing Capability for Councillors” training program. This workshop highlight methods and strategies to enhance and improve the efficacy and ease of internal negotiations and enable participants to better manage conflicting interests. Participants will also have an increased ability to engage in influential negotiations with all internal stakeholders, their colleagues, other Councillors, and Executive Officers.
